Another brilliant day bathed in warm Spring sunshine at Heartwood. We made a start on building a new woodshed for, and partly from, the donated wood. This involved a 'new' tool that 'drills' post holes into the ground. Sam, with the help of another student attached a broken tape measure to the bench for ease of measuring when we're working in the polytunnel and then, half an hour later, flatly refused to use a tape measure when cutting a post to fix the privacy screen around the loos. Insisting that it needed to be as long as her.! We took Barley for a nice walk and spotted the first wood anemone as well as badger tracks in the mud. Certainly not a lazy day, but nice and relaxed and way less muddy than in previous weeks.
