Blue skies and sunshine at heartwood

It was one of those stunning early spring days. The sun shone and had some warmth to it and we all really appreciated it after a number of grey and chilly days. We made the most of the sun at lunch and took the chairs to the clearing so we could eat our lunch in the sunshine.

Finally, the tidying and organisation of the poly tunnel is complete. We are going to make a real effort to keep it organised as it's such a useful work space if it's wet. A lot more work was done on the chopping board and the rasp, electric sander and hand sanding were used to give the board such a great curved shape.

The trailer for the car was fixed and more pallets were broken to make kindling. At the end of the day we took a walk as a team to coppice some birch saplings for a future project.
